I browsed the internet and found many interior designs using the colors yellow and black. I think of the Pittsburgh Steelers when I see these colors together.
I created the box using the Beyond Basic Borders stamp set. I used PTI Sweet Blush, Spring Moss and Lavender Moon Ink on Vintage Cream Cardstock. After I painted the box, I cut the cardstock and attached to box using Scor-tape (very strong bond--love this tape for this type of project.) I punched a scalloped border (Martha Stewart) and attached to outside of lid and then layered Spring Moss and Sweet Blush ribbon over top. I used Spring Moss Bitty Dots paper for Happy and Sweet Blush Bitty Dots paper for the flower and then layered scalloped circle and finally a new Vintage button.
I used Spring Moss, Spring Rain and Dark Chocolate cardstock with Dark Chocolate and Spring Moss ink. Stamps sets used are Simple Little Things and Heartfelt Basics. In addition, I used a Martha Stewart punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder, rectangle Nestabilities die, Marvy scallop punch and circle punches.
I am retired from the United States Air Force but I continue to work. I have been married to my husband for over 31 years and we have a daughter who just got married this summer. My hobbies are knitting, crocheting and stamping. I think it is very important to find something you are truly passionate about and I am thankful for my family and hobbies.
